Good Luck. Drink lots of water and take vitamins. If you have not tapered and drank heavily then make sure to talk to your doctor, they might have some advice. Alcohol is one of the few that can kill you going cold-turkey.
Keep busy, do projects you have put off forever and go for walks/jogs. Get a new hobby if you dont have one.

You already decided you have to. That's the first step in the right direction. Consider getting some 5HTP as a supplement, apparently it helps with some of the GABA stuff that gets fucked up when you drink.
