I don't post often, but wanted to thank you guys. It's been almost a week without drinking after tapering down.

This sub hasn't been busy lately, but I want to thank all who've posted earlier. You helped point me in a good direction.

I feel so much better physically and mentally already and feel compelled to exercise daily now.

Thank you.

Right on. Welcome.

Some things I find helpful, for the long haul:

*Alcohol lowers testosterone.

*Most alcohol companies are owned by jews.

*Alcohol basically keeps people as herd animals; wasting enough of their time money and health to prevent them from doing much outside of working and paying taxes.

Think of it like an abusive relationship - You'll probably find yourself eventually wanting to go back because "It'll be different this time." It won't.

If you find you can't get rid of the compulsion/mental obsession part, I can say from experience that AA's program works, if done properly. It kind of blows me away, how many people white knuckle their way through years of sobriety without ever getting any real relief.

So very true.
