There is no such thing as a qualified therapist. They are all hacks who are more fucked up than you are and will fuck you up more than you already are.
Seek a clinical psychologist if you must waste money on this.
Better still, simply grow the fuck up and start taking responsibility for your life and your actions. Stop shitting on people. If you think you are a so called 'addict' or 'alcoholic', you know god damn well that is your real problem and you need no 'help' in fixing it. If you are honest with your self, which is easy. It's being honest with others that you refuse to do. Playing the victim, playing their emotions, cuz "muh disease". Bullshit, and you know it.
OP, when I say you above, I don't mean you you. Unless you are one of them.
So called 'addicts' and 'alcoholics' are nothing more than pricks who refuse to grow up. The so called 'disease' is made up bullshit that has done untold damage to the US. Most of the world knows this.
This is kind of a silly opinion to have. Obviously if an addictive behavior is harmful, the "just stop doing it" approach has already been thought of and tried. Some other change is needed in order for the addict to be more resourceful in the face of their impulses. It doesn't always have to be a therapist, but that could be one source of outside help to facilitate that change.
So called therapists are dangerous hacks. They all recruit vulnerable people into deadly dangerous 12 step cults. 12 step cults not only do nothing to address the problem, but all too often lead to suicide.
This is very, very bad advise you are handing out.
So called 'addicts' and 'alcoholics' are already professional victims. 12 step cults just polish their victim claiming skills. They also try to get their hooks into the so called 'addicts' friends and family, telling them they are 'sick' too. And the only cure is their particular brand of imaginary friend in the sky.
You either don't know the first fucking thing about the subject, or you are one of the so called 'addicts' here to promote the false 'disease' model and victim status.
Most of your response seems to be in reply to a strawman. I did not vouch for alcoholic victimhood status, 12-step programs, alcoholism as a disease, or salvation from above.
You're quick to call me ignorant, but it sounds like you've confused being strongly opinionated with being informed.
