So I go to this ratty ass house today to see why a furnace isn't firing. I get there and tell the homeowner to turn the unit on while I go around and wait to see what is gonna happen. I wait about two minutes then go in the house. You know how nigger houses smell like shitty food and BO? Yeah this one was the queen of all stank. Thermostat was blank which means no power. They had just put new batteries in but apparently lost the metal piece that the battery hooks up to. They insisted they didn't need that. I had to explain how power works and how you can't have a battery touching plastic and expect it to work. I also explained that I could replace the thermostat but it was gonna cost, including my trip charge, just over four hundred. This part is important. I explained SEVERAL times how if I put the thermostat on the wall it's theirs, no taking it back. I explained how they could buy a cheap one and put it on themselves. Nope, put on the one you got, they told me. I put it on, program it, and test everything. I go to my truck to write up the ticket and the husband follows me out, thanks me, and says see you later. No bitch, you still gotta pay. I give the bill to the sow, and she looks at me like I'm crazy for how much it costs. She flips her shit and tells me she doesn't want it and to take it off the wall. I point to where she signed the authorization for me to do the work(anything over a hundred dollars we get customers to sign cause of shit like this.) she finally writes me a check (will probably bounce) and I get out as fast as I can. Called the owner to tell him she's pissed cause I charged her. "Fuck her we don't work for free."
