Green energy is a euphemism for costing big tech less money in energy consumption. They are literally the biggest energy consumers. Every half assed scheme regarding Green energy is done to save big tech money, and increase their bottom line. They don't want to depend on big oil, they want to transition away in order to make more money. Big oil just laughs at the little babies with their Dennis tier temper tantrums. You can't do anything without an energy supply. No vaccines, no hospitals, no medicine, no big tech, no agriculture, no guns, nothing that we take for granted. Who owns that owns all the real power and leverage in this world.
