This kid is 16. According to the 10,000 Hour Rule, it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert in a given subject area. That would mean if this kid worked for 16 hours per day every day it would still take over 2 years to become an expert in global warming.
So, did she begin her research at 13 and take a two and a half year hiatus from school to do the research? Or is her claim of expertise just more media bullshit.
