Here is the article from the portland mercury. A quick google search makes it seem like only the ultra-pozzed papers are picking it up (Vox, Salon, etc.).

In the video, Patriot Prayer have weapons and are discussing things like where to approach from, what way the wind is blowing to avoid pepper spray, past battles. Nothing too unexpected since by now everyone who goes to a rally in Portland knows they are walking into a battle. Andy Ngo is not really a part of their circle and it kind of looks like he's glommed onto them as a way to get safely into town. Not surprisingly the left wing papers are claiming this completely discredits him and proves he's one of the nazis.

You could say he's supposed to be objective, so he should be equally concerned with Patriot Prayer's weapons as he was with Antifa's, but his stated mission is to cover and understand the far left.

More troubling: Why the apparent resignation from Quillette? Did they feel he had abandoned his neutrality in order to write hit pieces on the left while ignoring the violence of the right?

edit:

Ngo still has an authors page at Quillette, with the last article dated April 22, 2019. https://quillette.com/author/andy-ngo/ I thought there were some more recent articles, specifically ones related to his being beaten on the head in Portland.

His twitter bio does not include Quillette. https://archive.fo/aapBs but apparently it did as recently as saturday. https://archive.fo/Tz4bU
