The fact that people look to pro athletes or celebrities for political or life advice is incomprehensibly stupid. These are people who've spent their entire lives intensely focused and dedicated to being good at one single thing, in many cases at the expense of knowing about or being good at anything else. It's essentially like getting your political opinions from a person who hasn't read a book since 8th grade because they were busy kicking a ball.
