As a media figure, I would like to say that he was a treasure and will be missed despite any previous indications that I was opposed to him. This is why this is news. If I were lowly regular person, which I am certainly not, I might instead have responded: "He doesn't deserve to rest in peace because he and his brother have been using their money to neuter the Republican Party into the party that isn't overtly hostile to white people all the time and feigns interest in patriotism." Thankfully, I don't have such ghastly thoughts.
