Good article. This has been the case for decades. Everyone wants green lawns and such in a place that without intervention would be a desert. And the population just keeps exploding. It won't be in mu lifetime, I'm old now, but sooner or later this has to go bust. We were seeing it back in the 80s and 90s when I lived there, and it's only gotten much worse.

There's no such thing as "overpopulation". It's a oligarch approved buzzword thrown around to redirect the plebs from noticing that tax payer dollars at the cost of infrastructure investment while simultaneously blaming social welfare spending to keep the really stupid fixated on the psychosis causing poverty.
