Eating any kind of rodent raw is a bad idea. They have short lifespans and a high reproduction rate for a reason. Their solution to disease is to live short enough that it doesn't matter. That doesn't work on a 70 year mammal. Enjoy decade long stretches of brain eating viruses. Have you ever seen a squirrel run straight for a car tire? It's not like a brain eating virus would lower it's ability to survive that much anyway.
