I'm roughly 40, so much older than young Americans, but not that old in terms of history. And yet I've seen the increasing rediculousness of the holohoax lie in my life. When I was a school kid the lie was pushed, but everyone knew they could only take it so far before it fell apart. For example, if you questioned the six million and how they possibly got there it was pivoted to, "Well six million is like a guess, it just means a lot, no one really knows, and that includes all people killed in concentration camps, many of whom were jews, but not all." If you questioned details of how the mass executions still didn't add up they said, "Well not everyone was executed, a lot of them died because of the side effects of war, but if they hadn't been in camps they might have escaped starvation or disease or etc." When you do things like that, a lot of otherwise reasonable people want so badly to believe that the world isn't capable of lying about something so crazy as the hoax that they'll do some mental gymnastics to tell themselves, "ok some of the details are summarized incorrectly, but the idea is true." But today it's, "Literal six million jews in the gas chamber and if you don't accept it we're attacking your livelihood." No one with even half a brain can see that and conclude anything other than, "Shut up, lying kike."
