Because boomers were too fucking busy with their mindless self indulgence to teach their sons any useful skills

(Obviously not all boomers, but a large majority)

I agree that getting the skills from their dads would be cooler, but nowadays it's easier to learn basic diy skills. You'll find very detailed videos on yt about almost everything.

This is how I learn most things

Yeah, because it's too difficult to do some research, read books and learn how to use tools.

Laziness is the main reason. Boomers come second.

fuck that, I DIY everything, it's like an extension of my job

fuck my peer-generation, gas most of 'em

What in a millennial home can they take apart and repair? Wait, that's the wrong question...what in a millennial home was designed to be taken apart and repaired?

Most stuff is electronic these days and built to not be able to be fixed. So, cant put all the blame on them.

It's about fixing shit. Everything is not only about electronic.

"Both generations pointed to modern technology becoming harder to fix as the top reason."

Fucking pathetic excuse for not knowing how to use simple tools that every man should have and know how to use.

Not saying its an excuse but its not like you can fix a motherboard you dumped your mountain dew on. And if your car breaks these days its not typically something your average person can fix.

I know how to generally fix stuff or follow online help to get stuff done myself. And i know lots of competant millenials. And i know lots of useless boomers.

You've chosen the two most typical strawman examples.

Tell me about fixing a leak, plumbing, electricity, broken window, fix furnitures, wall cracks... you know the basic stuff.

I'm a millennial myself and I try to stay active in the DIY realm.

I changed my living room to be a DIY room with no TV / Tech for the most part except a 3D printer. I own no TVs right now.

I don't think comparing here works so well here either to as well.

Millennial Vs. Boomer.

Boomers with the hippie movement and America having a drug problem to say the least for now. Millennials aren't perfect here either though, but all that drug support to America now having a major drug problem to me personally.

Boomers started it in many if not most situations people got so pissed off when it came to the millennials and/or only blame us.

Vice Versa to as well.

Millennials didn't start this either.

Civil Rights --> race mixing / LGBTQp (pedophilia within)

I think the boomers (starting it in many / most sitautions) and it just got bad / terrible and/or horrible with the millenials and such.

edit - trying to say the drug problem and such might be a huge problem why millenials don't have DIY skills and such alone.

Things also corrupt over time.
