What I get from reading all I can find on this is that T-Mobile is just purchasing the Sprint customer base and their 2.5 GHz spectrum to plug into the T-Mobile network. Hell, John Leger even called it "new T-Mobile". To be fair, I think they plan to call the new company T-Mobile, but I think it's pretty clear this was simply a customer/asset purchase. Woe to all Sprint employees, I suspect.

I would be surprised if the DOJ doesn't block this. Not to mention sprint is literally pay to win in the cell world. Non stop ads/apps on phones. Garbage pricing. Double speak on their deals. T-Mobile has gotten very good over the years, but Deutsch Telecom has been wanting to dump them for a decade. If they merge, get rid of ALL sprint mid to high level workers and let T-mobile head the change.
"“This isn’t a case of going from four to three wireless companies – there are now at least seven or eight big competitors in this converging market,” " BULLSHHHIITTTTTT. This is why the DOJ stopped ATT and T-Mobile merger. There a ton of "companies" that use the big fours spectrum. Those small companies don't have ANY spectrum. They rent the space.
