That's actually more of a KJV problem than anything else. My 400 replica of the KJV says, Glory to God in the Highest, and on earth peace, good wil towards men. Catholic revised 2nd edition goes "Glory to God in the highest, and on Earth peace among men with whom he is pleased!" A bit more inline with what you're saying but not perfect. My Orthodox study Bible uses the NKJV so I can't really comment too much on that.
