What does dust do? It feeds new growth. It gets transformed into things that are alive.

When someone returns to dust, they die, the material order that gave them life returns to chaos through entropy. But that is irrelevant anyway, as Christ didn't say something like "I have come to turn the Law into dust."
There is no Temple. There are no genealogies of the Aaronic line. The jeweled vestment of the High Priest is lost. The red heifer line is broken. The Holy of Holies is lost. The veil was torn. The unknown name of God that only the High Priest knew is forgotten. Not a single living "Jew" today knows what tribe their ancestors allegedly belonged to. The Romans, acting as the agents of vengeance in a long line of such agents, crushed the vain and prideful remnants of those covenant breakers.
