Ii still have some questions myself, but concerning circumcision. As I currently understand it, immersion, baptism has replaced circumcision. One important thing is to separate out the teaching of the Pharisees. They added rules to make the Sabbath a burden and get around it. Grabbing an ear of corn to eat is fine. Creating a Sabbath day's journey distance is a way to get around the Sabbath rest. Enjoy your study.
Circumcision was required of Moses's son shortly before God sent him on his mission. It's not a Pharisee creation.
Speaking of corn, in the Exodus, while teaching the Sabbath to the Israelites for 40 years, God gave them food 6 days a week with a double portion on the 6th day and told them to stay inside and not go gathering food on the 7th day. The Pharisee objection to Christ's disciples gathering food has a sound foundation.
