This honestly pisses me off and is now part of my ultimate justification for why religions are NOT constitutions for humanity.

Why does it piss you off?

Because here, they say during the Communion that the Lord's table is open to everyone and yet don't allow same-sex marriages or openly gay clergy. A bit ironic if you ask me.

Jesus was very clear on his (and God's) stance on homosexuality and marriage during his gospel. Just because a table is open doesn't meant they will condone what is considered a blantant sin. Jesus forgives sin, but also expects to "go forth and sin no more."

Now, if this offends you, then that's another matter entirely and perhaps Christianity is not your cup of tea.

Religion is what you want. Religion is a social gathering with like-minded people in a setting that's conducive for that sort of dialogue.

Spirituality is your personal conversation with God.
