All forms of veganism are vastly worse. Man-made plants do not contain appropriate micronutrition for humans. Doesn't matter whether you go organic or not. There are at least 20 nutrients I can think of that are absent entirely from a vegan diet and most of the rest are in the incorrect form for absorption (kinda why vegans are all anaemic despite stuffing themselves full of "iron-rich" spinach and kale.

yeh recent stuff is just for looks and taste only.

5 a day made sense 50 years ago, now its more like 500 a day.

Its for looks and shelf stability and high yield. Modern grocery store produce is tasteless. The carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, all that shit grown in my parents and neighbors garden, or from the farmers market in town, is far, far more flavorful than grocery store shit. Eat some good heirloom tomatos and the grocery store ones will taste like water by comparison.
