We were lucky because I made good financial decisions in the past. We cashed out our 401(k) and were able to stay afloat thanks to that - I wanted to xfer it into Roth anyways, but then as soon as I cashed it, Trump's admin made the fees not applicable due to plandemic. win win.

Correct. The normal fees didn't apply, though I still paid the tax on it. However even that wasn't bad thanks to Trump's tax cuts.
