Like you said, NYC is an urban jungle. There's a reason I'm not living in NYC, and perhaps she could have thought about moving or some other precautionary measures if she lived there long enough. Did she all of a sudden get dropped into NYC and had to find her way home? I don't think so. Is it a tragedy? Sure. Could it have been avoided? I believe so. Have I learned something from this? Definitely, and I wish people learn something lest they end up like her.
