Remember, they don't need to make logical and reasonable arguments to keep this thing going. If they did it would be long over. What they need is to keep introducing doubt, confusion, and uncertainty into the narrative to keep everyone frozen into inaction. When things start to get "figured out" that's when the chance of a group forming up, making a plan, and starting to settle scores with sociopathic elites can happen.

They could lower or raise numbers anytime with the PCR test by raising the number of cycles the sample undergoes at the lab, that’s why it was never reliable anyway and its creator said it couldn’t diagnose disease or detect viruses.

Yep. Since they are changing how they are counting cases, they can say that the previous case counts are incomparable to the newest ones and throw away all historical data. Or, more likely, they'll adjust historical data to fit their newest methodology. That pretty much means they can do anything they want to the historical data as long as they provide the flimsiest of justifications.
