I think they are refrigerated. The door knockers are just the talkers. I think if they convince someone to get the experimental gene therapy, they lead them to a canopy within walking distance setup by the health department where the chemicals are likely refrigerated presumably by generator. That's at least what I gleaned from watching one of the North Carolina news reports.
It isn't difficult to refrigerate stuff on-the-go these days, it's just energy intensive, and therefore expensive. And it takes a bit of fore-thought, or you'll fuck something up and end up with a batch of whatever out rotting in the sun.

Not anymore. The Moderna brand is good for 30 days in a regular fridge now, and once the bottle is opened, it is good for 12 hours at room temperature. I am not sure about Pfizer and J&J.
