I know this is only one article, and not proof positive, but based on all the poop going around lately, this certainly could be believable.

Why did China have all of those bizarre videos of people falling down in the street dying of covid right at the beginning?

Doesn’t Whitney Webb say something similar to this? She’s the only one I know pointing fingers back to the US.
