schools maintain some authority to regulate student speech off-campus

This is an ENORMOUS loss. School holds no power even within school grounds.

I agree with you who the fuck are these schools to bind children & young adults mouths off campus! This is a literal hostile take over of our country. Our free thoughts are a threat to the Global elite who finance all these campuses.

The Supreme Court of the USA needs to be dismantled at this point. They have proven themselves to be more of a threat to the American people than an aid in protecting our God given freedoms from totalitarians who wish to mentally and physically enslave us.

I dunno. Schools are pushing indoctrinated bullshit in a lot of cities. I think this decision was right, and didn't go really far enough. Public schools are literally state actors, so certain first amendment protections should apply, even on school grounds.

and didn't go far enough

So its wrong.

"Narrow ruling victory for ex-cheerleader Brandi Levy, says schools maintain some authority to regulate student speech off-campus."

Narrow? 8-1 clear and decisive.

Using normal English you're correct, but in the legalese used at SCOTUS "narrow" means this ruling applies only to the case at hand. The alternative is a "landmark" ruling that has broad consequences.

I've seen news articles that alternatively use either "narrow" (like this FauxNews one) or "landmark" (like the ZeroHedge one). Hopefully some lawyerbro can chime in and say which one it really is.

schools maintain some authority to regulate student speech off-campus

This one certainly has broader consequences than the headlines would advertise.

"Narrow? 8-1 clear and decisive."

The ruling was narrow in scope. Not that the vote was a narrow victory.

But it wasn't that either. The court said as long as the teen isn't breaking the law with her speech, the school couldn't go after her.

But what if she said Fuck Jews and FUCK niggers and Fuck FAGS

Does anyone have a link to her video? I can't find it.

I support this decision and free speech in general. At the same time, the ACLU doing this is fucking childish nonsense:

You can't support this decision and support free speech. They're exclusive of each other.

They're advertising the job they did. I see no harm.

So they can't hear about fraud of a national election but they can hear about a teen who ranted on the internet. Sounds like they have their priorities in line.

They only hear what they are (((told))) to hear my fren.

Thomas seems to be a true Contrarian. The crowd says zig, he goes zag.

But anything about election fraud is off the table.

Imagine sending your daughter to a school where the teachers lie to her face and then punish her for responding.

That 1 should be dispatched

I swear the supreme court is coming with a lot more freedom related decisions since Ghisliane Maxwell is in jail. Many people have pointed this out and it does seem to be true.

I think the blackmail against Justice Roberts and others regards their kids or whatever seems to have been countered with her capture.

Stop reading just the vote and read into it a bit.
