its actually much worse than China, because there they have this once a year festival where they do this bad shit to dogs. However, American is killing 10's of Billions of animals continuously, and breeding more to continue the cycle.

You do understand that the Chinese eat pigs, chickens and cows too, right? They're not vegans who have a yearly dog-meat cheat day.

Further, China slaughters more cows, chickens, pigs, and sheep than the US.

China is the number one slaughterer of all lifestock except for cows. For killing cows, Brazil is number one. China is number two.

So what's with this unfounded US hate? Or do you just really hate dogs?

USA eats about double per capita meat compared to CHina. Even your chart shows 1.5 Billion pigs killed per year, and over 68 Billion chickens

and breeding more to continue the cycle.

Are you trying to ague it would be better to xenocide a species than to breed more of them, WTF?

genocide is the word you are looking for. You could use the same argument for dogs. In China they breed dogs for food to eat, are you ok with that?

Causing another species to go extinct is the technical definition of Xenocide.

My bad, you're pro genocide not pro xenocide. Got it.

its not anywhere near that bad because chickens and cows do not have anywhere near the amount of intelligence necessary to be bothered by cage farming. pigs maybe, but pigs get a pass because their vermin.

pigs are not vermin, and cows are also smart

pigs are not vermin

wild hogs are more destructive to a farmer than wolves. yes, they are vermin. delicious, tasty vermin.

cows are also smart

cows block roads and railroads if they get out of their pens; an intelligent animal would see a car or train coming and run. their ancestors were hunted by scaring a whole herd over a cliff. cows are decidedly very stupid creatures.

i dont think theres a single instance of an intelligent herbivore, now that i think about it.

Its true. Livestock has become too industrialized. We need more, smaller “inefficient” farmers that can ensure a higher quality of life, longer life, and more human death for animals, if we continue to eat animals. Perhaps there will be better plant based alternatives to meat in the future that do not have the same health repercussions as the modern vegetarian diet does today.

What would we do if we stopped raising pigs for meat? Would we keep them as pets? Let them roam free in designated areas? They are pretty nasty when they go wild.

Cuz China doesn't breed animals continuously?

This is truly one of the stupidest comments I've ever read.
