>Show me within nature where any of the other lifeforms are reasoning about the true or false states of perceived reality? Could it be that they all instinctively adapt to whatever is implied?

Animals have no reason to consciously think, there are no plots seeking their destruction, no future to worry about, and they do not dwell on things past. The only thing they are concerned with is their survival and reproduction. We are not animals (well, technically so, but far evolved past that around us) we DO need to stop to consider wether something is true or not because other humans do lie and attempt to manipulate us.

If I’m not mistaken you’re implying that we should all simply live in completely in the present and react to things without thinking. However if we did that we would be reduced to our base instincts, and be no better than animals.
