I’m all for nessesary abortions, but this shit is legalizing killing babies, if it’s a week before the due date it’s not an abortion, it’s a murder. If the child is viable it should be allowed to live.
It's a complicated issue and there's no magic bullet. If a law was passed that women could only abort in cases of rape for example, false rape claims would skyrocket. Legitimate health issues only? Then all of a sudden we see legitimate health issues rise exponentially. I'm not even against all abortion from a societal standpoint. Personally my conscience doesn't abide. I aint the dude.
It seems like this is yet again another issue that in order to solve you'd need to take it on a case by case basis, a simple ban obviously doesn't work(looking at you war on drugs) so we have a situation where we need to make sure we are not needlessly killing babies but say in the case of down syndrome we probably should abort them, its as you said a complicated issue.
