Russian foreign ministers were talking about the possibility of nuclear war over Trumps potential airstrikes in Syria after the chlorine gas false flag.
Russia deployed its fleet as a deterrent. Russia threatened an armed response if missiles were launched against the Asad government. Things were escalating immensely in an incredibly short amount of time. Trump then ordered and attack on an empty Syrian airfield with tomahawk missiles and the whole thing was swept under the rug.

Not much of a conflict. It was Russia taking care of business and Trump mostly staying out of the way while the media screeched for him to get involved. At one point he did (bombing an evacuated airbase over the BS "gas attack") but nothing much came of it.

Right, so there was a lot of talk, a meaningless strike that didn't kill anyone, then the storm in a teacup ended.

Just because you win a round of russian roulette doesn't mean you start doubting if the bullet is real. FFS we are the only country in the world that has used nuclear weapons on humans. Nuclear war is only a function of time. Eventually it will happen. International conflicts, even if they have petty origins, can turn real in a moments notice. Have you never had a petty dissagreement escalate into a fight? We are humans, look around.
