I am at the end of the process of selling a house in Georgia, and my agent is one of those guys who has a family who has been in the town for generations, not quite 200 years worth. He knows everyone without exaggeration.
He said his contact that is in the fuel field told him that there is plenty of fuel, it's just a matter of logistics with the line down. So as long as these people stop buying all the fuel the second it's at the station, people who use it just to get to work will be fine.
Also, there's this really obscure roundabout near a well known named peach farm that has plenty of fuel for now. I went out of my way to get hay for my ladies (local feed store is out for over a week) and saw with my own eyes that they still had the fuel, with no one panic buying.
Just giving this info for those who might not have slept last night like me. I love my goats, and my children(not in that order, it's just that we only had two bales of hay left),and I had a lot of concern over this. I think the bread basket attacks are more significant and everyone should be growing whatever they can, hopefully lots and lots of root vegetables.
