Burns a building, riots....4 years. Walkthrough capital, don’t destroy anything... face 10. All those people are still in DC jail held without bail. Most were nonviolent and did not destroy anything

His parents could sell their properties, that would pay down some of the fine. He deserves this. His lawyer argues that the sentencing is designed to make his client pay for "the sentence for the other thousand people who participated." Yeah well he's the one who got caught. Also, the idea that this guy's lawyer would make the fairness argument when we all know that fairness had nothing to do with any of this at any level, including the Chauvin verdict, is galling. It's like that Gen Z habit of putting their hands on you and then when you push them off they go absolutely shit-nuts and start screaming "DON'T TOUCH ME!!!"

His parents should give him exactly zero help.

By the look of things, it seems his parents already gave him zero help in life. He probably grew up in a single mother household.

Here's an idea for him: don't help people burn places down. It could cause worse than mere property damage.
