I think I've figured out how this all works, now.
They call this type of thing a firebreak.
This default sub is for "general news" (link posts only).
You have to provide a link/source to an article/archive (no more than a week old).
Keep the original title and add your commentary/opinion in the post's content.
No screenshots, images of texts, cartoons, memes...
