To me it is all about how the female heroine is portrayed. Females can be strong without having to be physically strong. Physical strength is not a feminine attribute and it is wrong to portray them like that. What happened to just making a caring loving mother type that needs to protect her family. Lots of ways to use weapons like firearms or out thinking a protagonist without forcing some unrealistic masculine ideals on her.

We'd have to go back to early 60s-or-before media to find examples of that, or some later John Wayne movies.
Most everything else has been shades of Atomic Blonde or Peppermint, a complete farce.
