Only in California, I suppose. Way too much litigation in this country of things that are simply just accidents ... and California leads the way.
It does sound like PG&E could be found negligent and should face repercussions if so, but murder charges? That's weird to me, it's not like you can sentence a company to prison.
You're right. They may be financially responsible, no doubt about that ... at least a case can be made ... but criminal charges are above and beyond.
