I've contemplated buying farm equipment locally this way, and moving it from one trailer to another in the police station parking lot seems like it'd be a massive pain. Also, if you're buying a car from someone, how is he supposed to get it to the police station? On one hand, if he drives it there himself then that's a sign that the car is driveable, but OTOH then the guy is walking back unless he brings a buddy for a pickup.
