The data in the linked report https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/pdfs/mm7010e3-H.pdf says that at best, a 1.9% decrease in deaths was experienced. If you use the current numbers presented by CDC reports, https://www.statista.com/statistics/1113051/number-reported-deaths-from-covid-pneumonia-and-flu-us/ that means completely destroying the economy prevented ~11,000 deaths.

"Case" rates is a weasel word term because of the methodology used to determine what was a case.

Yes, I realize the numbers presented by the CDC in regards to deaths and cases are padded heavily with bullshit, so the real impact is probably much lower.
