I buy old computers from the scrap yard and recycle the gold and silver from them. The older they are the more gold is inside but it's still very little. But it does add up.
Is it cost efficient? What's your refining process like?
Definitely not cost efficient. After you buy your acid and smelting equipment you might break even. I get the old computers for 3 cents a pound but it costs about $50 to ship a small amount of nitric acid which is used to dissolve the gold and silver so maybe after I process alot of computers I will turn a profit. Its mostly just a hobby.
