In North Idaho we are still without power this AM. Generator ran all night *hat tip Yamaha. SpouseAnon worked in 25F cold and 60mi hr gusts to get it up and running. We have a propane for cooking and heat backup so we are ok. Avista power says several days of dark ahead of us. We heard sirens off and on all night.

Two dead and 130 trees down in Spokane. We have many trees over 90ft tall. Lucky we didn't get one through the roof like 2015.

Power came back on here in Bayview ID around 10 PM, thank God. We were going to stay in a hotel if it didn't. What a mess yesterday was.

It was a hassle but we've had to run the gen before. Seems like our area NW of you has power go out a lot. Having a generator helps a lot and I'm happy I pushed for a propane range instead of electric.

It did clear off last night and the star and planet show was fabulous.

Stay safe. Anyone else reading this. Do not use propane inside unless you know how to vent it properly. Carbon Monoxide poisoning is one of those silent killers.

We have a 300gal propane tank that runs our gas propane Samsung range and propane fireplace inside the house. It's not like the propane heater in our shop that is used with the door open, or our BBQ grill. It's ok. It's the same setup that people who have natural gas like in the South. We do have C02 detectors in kitchen and near the fireplace. :)

Nice set up. The comment wasn't for you. People get desperate and don't consider the safety of these things. Lots of lurkers here. Hoping just to catch someone's eye and remind people about safety. Some people aren't even aware of these risks.

No worries. It is important to remind people of that danger. Having C02 detectors only way SpouseAnon would agree to the range.
