It's still not a law. Even if it were, it would be an unjust law. Man up and defy it.
It's bylaw, and I don't get a fine for not wearing a mask, the store owner does. I only shop at little guy's stores.
So, let me get this straight. Where you live, police are forcing shop owners to police their own customers... for free? Isn't there a name for being forced to provide labor for free. Oh yeah. Slavery!
This just keeps getting better, doesn't it? If I was the shop owner, I would take the fine and wipe my ass with it. Going to be a whole lot of lawsuits over this soon enough.
There are very few independent business left where I am. It's all multinational global corporate monstrosities. The small guys can'lt fight over this they're fighting everything else.
