According to Scout, one of her stepsisters stepped on a hypodermic needle in an LA park and had to wait for test results.

I hate being in a park in flyover country and encountering candy wrappers or soda bottles on the ground. But it beats the fuck out of needles laying around.

If you don’t think “flyover” country has it’s share of needles and used condoms in their parks ..you’ve obviously never been to a city/suburb of Detroit, St.Louis, Chicago, Kansas City, Minneapolis...etc.

For fux sake, it’s just flat out ignorant to think that heavy fucking drug abuse (including heroin, coke, meth) isn’t as big a problem in small towns as it is in large ones...or just an issue with costal states. I mean that kind of fucking ignorance is beyond my comprehension. Detroit and OMAHA Nebraska are notorious for their being drugged out chithole “cities”.

You got me, I don't live near any major cities and I'm very ignorant in that regard. Maybe flyover country was the wrong term, but here in the middle of fucking Nowhere, USA the parks have litter but no needles. Sure there's meth and drugs everywhere and even here if you go looking for it, but again, I don't see it when I'm out at parks where my children play.

I'm really happy to know I live in the one place that doesn't have needles and used condoms all over. But at the same time I'm saddened that you have to live like that and can't even enjoy a fucking walk in the park without being exposed to filth.

I haven't worn it once and neither have my wife and two little girls. It's really been pretty easy. So far we've only had to stop going to Sprouts and Costco. Good news is there is ALWAYS someone else that will gladly take your money.

I was at Krispy Kreme the other day to get a coffee, and the kid behind the counter told me he wouldn't serve me without a mask. I said, "Congratulations! You've just lost my business." The wide eyed look he made was priceless. He hadn't even considered that option. lol. Shops need shoppers, not the other way around. I just went down the street and got coffee there.

Yeah, I am not filled with hate for all stupid people, though. Hypochondria is a bitch. I understand some people really were (stupidly) scared, and it's not my store.

I WISH the store owners would push back on the Governors - because it isn't their store either. But, I don't super care.

Out of all of this, in Texas at least, I care about the masks the least. Every business has a dresscode. This one is STUPID. But I know people are fairly dumb on average, so I pick battles.

It's municipal law where I am and the store owners get fined. I only buy food now and I hold a mask over my mouth without putting it on so I'm in and out in really fast and only buy what i have to. There's no way in fuck I'd buy anything from the corporates on line, including parasite set ups they get commissions from.

It's NOT law. Governors don't make laws. It's not enforceable. The worst they can do is ask you to leave or charge you with trespassing. Stores can do this for any reason though.

The "karen" label started because a woman was threatened by a nog in a park. She was charged with a hate crime for telling 911 he was black. He refused to cooperate after he admitted saying "I'm going to do something you won't like" because her dog was off leash. Charges were dropped and she ended up unemployed.

So not funny.
