They're no worse than a newspaper only publishing articles that align with their agenda. The only part here that's relevant to the government, is that "public forum" laws protect them from being held liable for the content produced by their users. Even though they should be losing that protection if they moderate content, especially if they moderate selectively as they are. Which in turn ought to mean they get taken down when CP or something else actually illegal slips through, but government's cucked and that's not happening.
