The pope is a head of state. Who even has the authority to arrest a head of state? Some of his cardinals?
Italy. The Vatican isn't a real country. It's a giant pedo-larp-party.
The Lateran treaty made it a real a country.
Yeah, Georgia, Ukraine, and Tibet, were real countries, too. Problem is, Vatican City is 100% contained by Italy. Italy has to decide when to honor its sovereignty or not.
You'd think that everyone in the Vatican would always 100% oppose any move that compromised their sovereignty, but they Italy has tremendous leverage because of how disruptive its displeasure could be, to what is essentially a single tiny parasite.
It's also completely retard to think the pope got arrested and literally not a single fucking person around him is blowing the whistle.
