I can bore you with other life anecdotes of men being psychos. Or I can beat you over the head with the statistics that show those anecdotes are not freak occurances. Id rather not, we’ve all heard it before.
But it isnt consistent to cite your own anecdotes while dismissing mine. There isnt anything particular virtuous about maleness or femaleness. People can engage in honest fair dealing survival strategies or manipulative and exploitive ones. Women’s exploitive stategies are not going to look like men’s. But make no mistake, we are all evolutionay beings looking for an advantage— the idea that men are more virtuous is a romantic notion you hold, much like the feminists.
Ive had all the arguments with feminist girl friends who think “men are all pigs,” even when they are surrounded by nice guys who treat them fairly. They are selective about the information they register— they only notice behaviors that confirm their opinion that men are all rapists or whatever.
I dont believe you and I are particular outliers. There are some expoiters out there. Caveat emptor. But I really believe non-psycho men and women should come together to condemn sexually exploitive behaviors rather than go to war with each other, which will ultimately end in the destruction of our people. These are behaviors that youve probably never experienced because women very rarely engage in them. It doent make us virtuous, just different. There are men that literally predate upon young women. You cannot wave it away.
