When I left, the main recruiting keys were advanced degree and minority - preferably with foreign language skills. (They actually pay you a per-paycheck stipend for language skills !) The office that I left prior to recruitment was 60%+ female. I enjoyed working there (I was in admin; knew nothing about the BS they did) but was never happier than the day I walked out.
That was nine years ago.
