Isn't that called "inflatable"? "Air-powered" means air does some kind of work, like a pneumatic robot.

It's continuously inflating itself which is a handy aerosol spreading machine just dandy for an ER

It's inflatable, like a bounce house or those holiday lawn decorations. The intransitive verb "powered" means to move by means of motive power. I know it's a little esoteric for the lay public, but reporters are supposed to have a thorough understanding of proper English.

Which means the air is going inside. Not outside.
