California's "officials" are pretty universally known for their astonishing corruption which they just get away with [usually].
I'm in Cali, we have in our whole county TWO ICU beds in use, neither are for covid, and all but 1-2 'covid deaths' have been in an old folks home.

They also fail to mention:
1) ICU util % is always high this time of year because...wait for it....flu season.
2) It is not profitable for a hospital to run low util ICU and thus the baseline is 50-75% depending.
3) Hospitals are legally required to be able to burst capacity to 150-200% via tents so 100% may just mean that they had to set up the tents (again).
Also, I had to go to a hospital e-room in CA last week. One in a purple zone with "0%"...they mobbed me for something to do.

Dr. Ron Paul did an article about the "capacity" fraud. Hospitals normally operate above 96% capacity. Under 90% capacity, most hospitals are losing money. 2018 flu season saw the massive majority of hospitals over capability. Many had to open tents to treat flu patients. And its now flu season.
They are also citing ICU capacity. This number is a small fraction of the total beds a hospital will have.
I've talked to people from multiple places around the world who have been in the hospital this past year and the story is the same every time - the hospitals are empty.
