They are not our friends. I will admit, I used to fully and without much thought back the police. My life was saved twice by police officers, maybe that’s why. Some police officers are capable of great acts. But they are not our friends, I see that now. My eyes were opened about one year ago. So I’m late to the game here and have really no right to bitch. States, counties, municipalities, towns and cities, they have absolutely no standing to violate our constitutional rights. Why hasn’t the White House declared a real national emergency and put a stop to this abusive behavior? Governors have no right to oversee this type of abuse, cities, towns, they have no right to do this. They have no right to even allow this. They are obligated by the constitution to stop this behavior. And if they don’t, the executive branch is obligated to stop this behavior. Call in the military, have these governors arrested. Oh, I forgot. That would take action and not just words. Why are conservatives and Republicans playing by rules that no longer exist? Democrats have effectively suspended the constitution. Why are we still following the rules? Why are we worried about states rights, why are we worried about politics, why are we worried about optics, why are we worried about procedures and jurisdiction? It’s nonsensical to continue to play by the rules that Democrats have broken. Our constitution, at the moment, is a worthless document. They have made it so. It’s time to fight back. But nothing. Absolutely nothing. It will be left to the American people to defend their own republic. Not that I think, for even one second, that they will.
