There is indeed such a thing as "better off dead". And this woman unfortunately qualifies. It's just too damn bad we never offered to relieve the rest of her family from these earthly bonds as well. It sounds like they needed it a long time ago.

Mental illness is rampant inside the United States. It started with the closure of the State mental hospitals. Most people tend think that these patients wound up on the streets and died homeless. I theorize that some of them reproduced and handed their bad genes down. Society would be much better off if the mentally ill were much better taken care of, outside of society.
