Oh, that was it. I think I got two stories mixed up. The other story I read was jewish school children were taught to write modified plus signs.
That's right. In Israel any sign of cross is forbidden.
That's not totally true because there are Christian Churches and holy sites. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre for example. Now of course many jews would like these holy places to be destroyed. In strict antichrist orthodox jewish neighborhoods I'm sure Christian symbols are forbidden, but the majority of jews in Israel are not religious.
