Boeing prides themselves on being a thoroughly diverse workplace. Maybe that's why their planes fall out of the sky

100% true. Source: contractor once. Pozzed to hell.

add on top of that the fact that some fucking how they arranged it so that they self certifiy their designs with the FAA instead of the FAA doing it themselves.

aint nothing wrong with putting bigger engines on a plane. the problem is trying to put bigger engines on a plane in exactly the place they were before, trying to fuck around with computers to make it actually airworthy (but it works with raptors!!!) then pretending its exactly the same plane so that airlines dont have to retrain pilots.

epic fail all round.

Does Boeing even make the engine?

If you are unfamiliar with exactly what the problems are surrounding the 737 or of just how badly Boeing gamed the system to avoid pilot retraining watch this.

60 Minutes Special (Australia, not US so it's actually reporting)

People at Boeing belong in jail.

i havent seen that video but know the story for sure. how the fuck did no one see this coming.

the tl;dr of this entire tale is between boeing, the faa, and not only not building a new plane, but not even building a flyable update of an old plane so they can even pretend they have just updated an old plane. we now have a massive fleet of computer controlled barely flying bricks all over the world.

Boeing should end

Don't care. those fuckers cheaped out with Indian programmers. no dedication to their craft. fuckem I say. hire white guys to get a superior product. we are dedicated to personal responsibility.
